In fact, a carbohydrate is one of three macronutrients that we need in our diet. However, if you have taken organic chemistry, you know that carbohydrates are the basic building blocks of everything including proteins and fats.
Therefore, it is very easy to eat more carbohydrates than our body really needs. Then, the body converts and stores any excess carbs into fats. And as a result, we gain weight which can result in health problems like diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure.
Fortunately, a low carb diet allows the body to break down fats to fuel the body. Therefore, while a low carb diet is low in sugars, starches, and certain fibers, it must be high in healthy proteins and healthy fats. This results in maintaining a healthy weight.

As a result, anywhere the cancer is located, will become highlighted on the PET Image.

Popular Low Carb Diet Foods. My personal low carb diet foods include eating healthy meats, dark green vegetables, a variety of raw nuts, and drinking mostly water. When grocery shopping, I try to stay along the perimeter. Think about it. Most grocery stores place their fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, and meats along the perimeter of the grocery stores. Once you start going down the aisles, you encounter all the processed high-carb foods.
However, there are a few low carb diet foods that can be found on the inner aisle of a grocery store. But there are not many. So, make a list and get what you need. Popular low carb diet foods that are typically down an aisle are pickles, mayo, mustard, apple cider vinegar, nuts, gelatin, and oils.
Depending on your overall goal, there are some additional low carb diet foods that can be purchased. Although not recommended, some “sugar-free” items provide low carb diet foods as well. However, do not be fooled, some of these items are not low carb and artificial sugars are not healthy.
Again, depending on your main reasons for starting a low carb diet, there are some relatively “low carb” diet foods available. For example, a granola bar with 9g of carbs is lower in carbs than a candy bar with 30 carbs.
One last thing – check the serving size! At times, items may appear to be good low carb diet foods, then when you check the serving size it is miniscule.
